…and shop at the new Nike Sportswear by Head Porter Plus store that opens February 20th. It will be open for a year only, but that’s enough time for me to be able to pay it a visit later this year if all goes according to plan.

2009: A great year for hip-hop!
October 23rd, 2009 | Posted by MartinThanks to my pal Jesper I’ve avoided sleeping on some great releases this year. When listening to the new M.O.P. and Raekwon I can’t help to think 2009 will be remembered as a great year for hip-hop, and as the year when the old dogs reclaimed the scene from the kids.
Some essential rap albums 2009:

Raekwon – “Only Built 4 Cuban Linx… Pt II”
Stand out track: ”Gihad”

M.O.P. – “Foundation”
Stand out tracks: “Crazy” & “Blow The Horns”

Mos Def – “The Ecstatic”
Stand out tracks: “Auditorium” & “Pretty Dancer”

DOOM – “Born like this”
Stand out track: “Absolutely”
New arrivals from Japan.
September 11th, 2009 | Posted by MartinThis book is actually quite fun. Hiroshi Fujiwara has got some nice stuff, that’s for sure. It covers everything from his Patek Philippes to his favourite rubber bands.
The parts about Eric Clapton are interesting! It almost seems a bit romantic the way he describes how they went to Hermès to order two guitar cases together, and how Eric special ordered an all black guitar from Martin & Co with the initials “EC & HF” on it.

…and the latest Honeyee magazine with Hiroki Nakamura on the cover:

Out in the woods.

Me and my friend Brun where out in the woods searching for golden chanterelles yesterday. It was such a great autumn day. First, we rode our bicycles out to Nacka nature reserve. No luck there though, so we continued out to Älta, where I scored some records and a Sartre book (La Nausée) at a flea market. I love when it’s obvious that you are the first person to go through a crate of records at a private estate flea market: All the good stuff is still there!
In the end, we didn’t find that many chanterelles. Allthough more than are depicted here:

The few we found, however, tasted heavenly fried in butter with some salt and pepper.

And oh boy, there were lots and lots of lingonberries to be found (we didn’t pick any though)

…and blueberries. Yum!

August 28th, 2009 | Posted by MartinReally good stuff is coming from Supreme this fall/winter of 2009. Like these jackets:

On another note: (Good) Swedish film seems to be on the rise thanks to Fredrik Wenzel and Henrik Hellström. One of the men behind the very good “Farväl Falkenberg” has, together with Hellström, done it again according to DN’s reviewer Helena Lindblad. I’ve yet to see it, but when I do I will definitely post a review – it’s been a long time since I was this excited about a Swedish film!
