Head Porter Plus A/W 2010
Saturday, July 31st, 2010The Essential Things 100 – 梶原 由景
Thursday, July 29th, 2010Just got this book by Yoshikage Kajiwara from the Lowercase creative agency. I think it’s better than HF’s. Can’t wait to try some of the food stuff in here.
Head Porter Plus S/S 2010
Friday, February 19th, 2010I’ve been a bit obsessed with hpp lately. The 2010 S/S collection doesn’t exactly help my condition. I hope most of it reaches Europe (and especially Firmament, since that’s the closest place us Scandinavians can buy hpp now that Super Market in Gothenburg is closing and Wood Wood in Copenhagen will stop carrying it). Tres Bien Shop in Malmö is a beacon of hope in the Cheap Monday-infested Sweden, but sadly they suffer from the (aptly named) “looks-really-good-on-the-web-but-damn-the-physical-store-sucks-and-the-people-working-there-seem-a-bit-pretentious syndrome”, and even though they say they carry hpp I certainly didn’t see any when I was there. I much prefer the Firmament way, where they actually remove the brand from the brand list in their web shop when they are out of stock of said brand. You know, makes sense.

Monday, November 9th, 2009
Just realized today that Head Porter’s online store (that until now was only for the japanese market) has opened its virtual doors for international customers. Beautiful bags and cases for everyone!
Head Porter Plus.

New arrivals from Japan.
Friday, September 11th, 2009This book is actually quite fun. Hiroshi Fujiwara has got some nice stuff, that’s for sure. It covers everything from his Patek Philippes to his favourite rubber bands.
The parts about Eric Clapton are interesting! It almost seems a bit romantic the way he describes how they went to Hermès to order two guitar cases together, and how Eric special ordered an all black guitar from Martin & Co with the initials “EC & HF” on it.

…and the latest Honeyee magazine with Hiroki Nakamura on the cover:

Man tänker sitt, Supreme!
Friday, August 28th, 2009Really good stuff is coming from Supreme this fall/winter of 2009. Like these jackets:

On another note: (Good) Swedish film seems to be on the rise thanks to Fredrik Wenzel and Henrik Hellström. One of the men behind the very good “Farväl Falkenberg” has, together with Hellström, done it again according to DN’s reviewer Helena Lindblad. I’ve yet to see it, but when I do I will definitely post a review – it’s been a long time since I was this excited about a Swedish film!

Recent pickups!
Monday, August 3rd, 2009I really needed a new Supreme backpack since my old one was beginning to look scruffy.
Wrangler Blue Bell sure is some nice denim. They were a gift, and a bit too long for me, so I’ll have to wear them heavily cuffed! They are Sanforized, which I normally don’t go for, but I’ll make an exception!
After a visit to Mosebacke Records I came home with these lovely LPs.
That J-Live album is really good. Which comes as no surprise for those initiated into his music – I’ve yet to hear a bad song by J-Live. That new Mos Def is off the hook as well. Really good beats by Madlib, his brother Oh No and of course Dilla!
Today
Sunday, August 2nd, 2009Today was such a nice day! After a visit to the gym I shaved down my three-week-beard to a mustache. Then I went out into a sunny Stockholm.
First I went to check out this store called +46 in the shopping mall PUB in central Stockholm. The reason was because I had read on Wood Wood‘s website that they sell Head Porter there. Huuuge disappointment to say the least. No Head Porter, impolite staff and simply extremely boring. I wonder how they pay the bills? In fact, I wonder how the entire PUB mall does it – nearly empty during a big summer sale!

Why is Stockholm an empty spot on the map for Visvim and Head Porter? It’s about time they start sell their stuff here. There’s definitely a market for it. Apparently C Concept Store is going to sell Head Porter and Head Porter+ eventually, but when?
So I went to A.P.C. and bought a shirt instead. A.P.C. is always nice, everything they do looks good. You can just walk in there and pick out anything as long as it’s your size and it will look good on you. On the same street (Krukmakargatan) Nitty Gritty is situated, where I also paid a visit.
Then I needed some good coffee, so I went to Mellqvist Kaffebar.
Afterwards I walked home.
